The DRDC difference

“Projects do not usually fail because people cannot build. They fail because control breaks down.”

We build the control system.

  • Scope gaps identified before they become change orders
  • Risk, cost, schedule, and decisions put in one view
  • Owner-facing documents that drive action instead of confusion
  • AI-assisted speed guided by real construction judgment

What we do

Design-first construction support built before the project gets expensive.

DRDC Group focuses on design concepts, interiors, renovation planning, project control, documentation, and execution readiness—the pieces that determine whether a project stays under command.

Why this matters

Bad projects do not start bad. They drift.

Scope assumptions go undocumented. Decisions sit in email. Schedules stop matching field reality. Change orders arrive without a clear decision trail. Owners lose visibility. Contractors lose margin.

DRDC Group restores control by putting the work into a structure people can actually use.

The five control questions

  • What is the actual scope?
  • What decisions are blocking progress?
  • Where is money at risk?
  • What changed since the last review?
  • Who owns the next action?
Built around the founder

Combat engineer discipline. Federal facilities experience. Builder judgment.

DRDC Group is led by Brian Williamson, a veteran construction and facilities executive with more than two decades of design experience, military engineering, federal real property, portfolio strategy, renovation, interiors support, and project recovery experience.

Construction

Residential, commercial, federal, renovation, owner support, and project execution background.

Facilities

Large-scale portfolio, space, logistics, data, O&M, and government-facing documentation experience.

AI Control

AI is used to accelerate structure, analysis, reporting, and decision support—not to replace construction judgment.

Service Area & Project Fit

Local by default. Extended when the project justifies it.

DRDC Group is based in Conyers and primarily serves the Atlanta metro area. Extended-area design and advisory projects are considered selectively based on scope, design fee, travel requirements, and project fit.

Smaller projects are typically local or remote. Estate-scale homes, custom homes, large renovations, and premium design packages may support expanded service beyond the local area.

How DRDC decides

  • Project size and design fee
  • Travel time and visit requirements
  • Scope complexity and owner need
  • Remote support feasibility
  • Overall project fit
